I finish University in 7 weeks

Friday, 3 April 2015

I don't know how, but second term of third year is over and I've somehow only got seven weeks left until I finish University forever. I can't even comprehend where the last three years have gone and I'm not really sure how I feel. Of course I'm excited to finish because it means three years of hard work will have (hopefully) paid off. It also means that I'm one step closer to going travelling but I also know I'm going to feel completely and utterly lost without it. It means moving home, adjusting and accepting that I'll never get it back. Second term has been such a fun few months but it didn't come without struggles. I celebrated my 21st birthday with my favourite people, went to see Hobbie Stuart, saw The Boy in the Striped Pajamas at the theatre, celebrated St Patrick's day for the first time since starting University and generally just loved every second of it.

Beyond the nights out and memories, there was also some serious hard work involved, I passed my 80WPM shorthand exam and sat my 100WPM exam which I'm still waiting to find out the results from. I handed in a law essay and was thrilled with the feedback and also secured myself a place as one of Elite Daily's writers which has meant I've had my work published to one million unique users every single month. With travelling in less than six months I've been sticking to a gym routine and also gave up chocolate and biscuits for Lent, something which I never thought I'd stick to. But, I did. And that's the general feel for second term. Putting my mind to things I don't think I can do, and proving myself wrong. As stressful as times get, I know that if I continue to work hard for the final push, it'll all be worth it. And there's still time for a breakdown inbetween...
