A Little Life Update

Wednesday, 17 December 2014

I imaged my time at home for Christmas to be super relaxing and although it's been lovely, it's also been crazy busy. Not that I'm moaning, because it means I've been able to spend time with my favourite people. The night I came home I went for a gorgeous curry with my dad and had a reunion with my best friend the evening after. She moved to Amsterdam for four months so we had a lot to catch up on, over wine, of course. I started back at work on the Monday and on Saturday I got up early to get the train to Birmingham. One of my best friends from Uni, Kate, lives in Worcester so we'd planned to spend the day shopping and wandering round the German Market. Matt from Uni also made a short but sweet guest appearance and taught us how to bet. £7.30 later (thanks roulette!) Matt and his friend left to go to the football and me and Kate did what we do best - shopped. It was so lovely to spend the day with her and properly catch up. When you spend pretty much every day with someone at Uni it's weird to then not be around them constantly. I then rushed home, got ready in record time and went for drinks with some of my old work lot from Next which was lovely. I might be exhausted from working, catching up with friends and trying to keep up with the mountain of Uni work I have, but I'm determined to make the most of the short time I have at home because before I know it, I'll be back at Uni swamped with even more deadlines. Oh, the joy of being a student...
