Winter Weekends

Wednesday, 19 November 2014

Although Nottingham can be very pretty at this time of year, I love nothing more than snuggling up under a blanket with good food at the weekend. But for a change, Abby and I decided to visit our local cinema on Friday night to watch Gone Girl (we've both read the book and it DIDN'T disappoint). The Savoy is a small, intimate, old-style cinema which oozes tradition. It may be quite compact but it gives it a real cosy atmosphere. Of course we went laden with treats and ended up having the cutest evening together. On Saturday night Abby's housemate from last year came round and we had a little Mexican feast of fajitas and nachos while we watched X Factor. Our spontaneous student streak came out to play as we were sat in our pjs at half 10 and decided to go out. We only went to the SU (and woke up incredibly hungover the next morning) but we had such a fun night. The weekends in first term are quickly diminishing and before I know it I'll be getting stuck into second term in January, so I'm trying to make the most of them before they're gone.
