Festive Fun

Wednesday, 26 November 2014

Christmas always starts early in Nottingham as the lights get switched on and the market takes the city centre by full force. On Friday, me and the girls went to watch the Christmas light switch-on and had a little mooch around the market. Market Square is laden with little snowy wooden huts selling gorgeous food, drink and gifts. Unluckily it was raining so it was a short but sweet visit but lovely all the same. On Saturday afternoon I went for coffee with one of my freshers and one of my fresher rep which was long overdue. In the evening me and the girls went for an early Christmas meal at Chiquito's. We were meant to be going in the final week of term but our superstar best friend Abby landed herself a last-minute two week placement at Vogue. I had the fajita burger and we had a lovely evening over great food and cocktails. Georgia was beyond impressed with the gluten/dairy free menu so if you have the same intolerance, get yourselves down there. It's so nice to have early festive celebrations in Notts before heading back home for Christmas for a WHOLE month next week.
