Urban Decay Naked Palette

Left to Right: Virgin | Sin | Naked | Sidecar | Buck | Half Baked | Smog | Dark Horse | Toasted | Hustle | Creep | Gunmetal

The iconic Urban Decay Naked Palette is definitely worth talking about. From its luxurious velvet casing and compact mirror to an overly satisfying array of 12 bronze-hued matte, satin, shimmer and sparkle textures, it's everything you could wish for all encompassed within one palette. The shades are super pigmented, incredibly long-lasting and can be lightly swept across your lids for a casual daytime look, or layered and blended to create a smokier, evening look. Virgin is a gorgeous pale champagne base colour perfect for the inner corners and can be blended with Sin for a subtle touch of daytime shimmer. Naked - a classic matte shade - is another favourite of mine which I like to wear on its own with a thin line of liquid liner and lashings of mascara.

I tend to sway towards Sidecar, Toasted and Hustle of an evening but all of the colours can be worn beautifully to create different looks. The shade range works its way up to the grittiest gunmetal grey and black which I'm eager to experiment with more to create the perfect smoky eye. The palette comes with a single-ended brush which is great, but I like to apply the shadows with my Real Techniques eye brushes for added precision. At £37 it is quite a steep price, but it makes the price of each individual shadow just over £3 which is great value for money. It's the only palette I own and in all honesty, is probably the only one I need. If you're not a massive eye shadow addict but want a little something in your life, then the Naked Palette might just be the answer.

  1. I'm so tempted to buy one of the Naked palette's but I'm useless at fancy eyeshadow.. haha. Major practise is needed!

    1. I'm useless as well, I only blend a few colours but it's practically fool-proof and definitely worth investing in X

  3. This palette I would say is a must for any makeup lover, although I don’t get as much use out of it as I should. Maybe that’s just because I own too many palettes! xx

    1. I agree! I've started using the taupe matte as an everyday shadow and I'm loving it. It's the only proper palette I own but I'd love a Stila and Clarins palette!X
