My Little Adventure

Travelling has always been something I've wanted to do but next September, I'm actually doing it. I'm going with one of my best friends Abby and after months of discussing, planning and getting stupidly excited, we've booked an appointment in January to get flight prices so we'll be one step closer to booking it. You can't book flights until 11 months before you're due to fly back so the January appointment is super exciting because it'll be so much more real. We've got a rough plan we're hoping to follow but the beauty of travelling is that you don't really know where it'll take you. Thailand is our first stop for two weeks (cue Full Moon Party and incredible beaches), followed by a couple of nights in Singapore before flying to Sydney. We'll then travel up the East Coast and go to Raindow Beach, Whitsundays, Great Barrier Reef and Fraser Island to name a few.

After our six week Australian adventure, we'll leave Brisbane - with strong tans in tow, hopefully - and fly to Aukland to spend three weeks in New Zealand for a little more adventure. We don't really know what we want to do there (suggestions are welcome) so that's what we'll discuss more when we go back to STA in the New Year. We're ending our adventure with a relaxing, tranquil week in Fiji - which by the way is meant to be incredible - before flying back to the UK for Christmas. We're both in the process of saving (to say travelling is expensive is an understatement) but the memories will far outweigh the cost. It's so surreal at the moment and it really doesn't feel like I'll be leaving my home and family for three months in less than a year. I'm so excited for what those months will hold and I'm so thankful that I'll get to share it all with one of my best friends.

  1. How exciting! I'll be living in Townsville (North Queensland) next year, so if you're in the area you'll have to hit me up. :D

    1. Definitely! I've got no idea where our Australia part of the journey will take us but if I'm near I'll let you know. Is there anything that I absolutely must do while I'm in the country?X

    1. Aw amazing! I think if it wasn't Christmas I'd be so tempted to stay out for longer, but Christmas on the other side of the world wouldn't quite be the same x
