Diary Time

Friday, 29 August 2014

A diary is pretty much like my life planner. It immediately makes me feel more organised, knowing I can write everything down neatly in one space rather than storing it all in my head. I'm a self-confessed stationery lover and I couldn't leave Paperchase without purchasing this beautiful, metallic, floral mid-year diary. My mum thought I was crazy for essentially spending £12 on paper, but it was way too pretty to leave on the shelf. I bought it about a month ago and I can't find it on the website, but you can find some others here. Although I usually get a new calendar diary for Christmas every year, this year I've decided to invest in a mid-year diary because it tends to match the academic year more. It runs from June 2014 to the beginning of August 2015 and has designated sections for timetables, notes, deadlines and exams and a year planner, as well as half a page for each day which means you can write things in detail instead of scribbling them in to make them fit which makes life that little bit easier.

It's quite heavy and bulky so I won't be carrying it around with me in my bag, but it'll take pride of place on my desk at Uni and it'll make me ten times more organised than if I didn't have one. Everyone works differently, but a diary gives me a clear head and allows me to plan in advance while having the ability to add things in spontaneously. £12 is a little bit excessive some might say, but I happen to like my metallic book of paper. It has a magnetic fold over bit on the front and the paper is lined and good quality. This is the only one I'll buy for the mid-year which basically spreads out the cost at £1 a month - a price I'm willing to pay for metallic prettiness and organisation. Pretty stationery makes me happy and Paperchase is my guilty pleasure. I should definitely not be left alone in there with a piece of plastic else I'll end up spending way too much money. It's definitely an unhealthy obsession of mine. Oops.
