A Lazy Sunday

Friday, 27 June 2014

Usually at the weekend, I'll spend Saturday doing something and spend Sunday blogging and completing tasks on my to-do list. I like to think of Sunday as a chill day so tend to be productive until the early afternoon so I can slob out in front of Netflix and just chill out for the rest of the day. Unless it's sunny of course. I used to be an avid reader but since being at Uni I've kind of lost touch with it so I've been trying to reintroduce myself to reading. There's been an awful lot of hype surrounding John Green's The Fault in Our Stars, so I got the e-book and I'm hooked. I'm only on chapter 12 at the moment but so far so good. It's been adapted into a film so I'm trying to rush my way through the book so I can go and see the film.

Although I'm sure I haven't got to the most gripping and emotional part yet, I can see it heading in a certain direction. I like books that reflect true life and John Green seems to capture this perfectly. Reading is actually super relaxing and therapeutic so I'm definitely going to try and make more time for it. If you need a recommendation then this is your book. I've heard nothing but good things about it and I'm sure I won't be disappointed when I've read the whole thing. This love story between two cancer patients is sure to capture your emotions, and put things into perspective.

  1. Everyone needs a bit of TLC every now and then. I have been running around like crazy for months, finished university and had already gone and found myself a job, so still haven’t had a chance to sit down and take it all in! But have bought a couple of books recently and can’t wait to get stuck into them!
