Easter Weekend Catchup: Cornwall

Wednesday, 14 May 2014

I know Easter weekend was a while ago, but I haven't posted about what I got up to. I was meant to be going home but my parents made a spontaneous decision to go to Cornwall. We have family friends who live there so we try and visit as much as we can. It's my second home and it's a seriously beautiful part of the country. We did a lot of chilling, a lot of walking and a lot of eating. We visited the touristy places like Padstow and Plymouth Hoe and I also did some home baking on Easter Sunday with Jo and Dave's little girl Lucy which was fun. We made the four hour car journey on Friday morning and returned on Tuesday morning and it was exactly the break I needed. We had two days of gorgeous weather before a little bit of rain but still had a lovely time regardless. These pictures make me want to go back and be by the sea.

Me and my parents on Harlyn Bay beach | Me and Jo - my second mum | Group beach selfie
Chocolate chip cookies | Home made cream tea | Mini egg Easter nests
Elvis loving life of the beach | A well deserved glass of rose | Cute houses in Plymouth Hoe

Me and my mum on Padstow beach | Dad and Elvis |Beach selfie
Fish and chips in the sun | Ice Cream | Beaut meal and wine
Padstow harbour | Gorgeous view over the sea | Sunshine makes me happy

We all had such a lovely time and it's just a shame we don't get to visit more often. They're practically like family and it's such a nice little escape when we go and stay. The sea air and sunshine was definitely a welcome break and I was a little sad to head back to uni. I've been a busy bee since then so expect a few more catch up posts in the next few days. Be prepared for lots of pictures and fancy dress antics.

How did you spend your Easter weekend?

  3. Cornwall is beautiful. I used to go every year with my family for around 2 weeks... camping! Some of the beaches and views are stunning - you wouldn’t think you was in the UK!
