The Nail Edit | Topshop

I'm a self proclaimed Barry M enthusiast and up until recently, I only ever bought Barry M nail varnishes. They're affordable, great quality and there's an incredible range of colours and finishes to choose from. To stop my addiction which was on the brink of spiraling out of control, I decided to branch out. I've dabbled in a few different brands since, but Topshop polishes stand out.

They have a great reputation and one of my friends vouches for them too. Like Barry M, there's a whole host of colours to choose from and I was infact spoilt for choice. I popped Drink Pink (hot pink matte) and Song and Dance (purple glitter) on my birthday wishlist and my nan bought them for me. She's definitely my number one fan so brownie points for you nan if you're reading.

I'm very impressed with my first Topshop nail purchases and can't wait to try some more shades. The hot pink matte dries quickly and the matte finish is gorgeous while the sparkle takes a little longer to dry. It's best applied as a glittery top coat as I attempted to make it opaque and miserably failed. I was left with a gunky mess that I scraped off the same night. Don't try it.

I've found them to be pretty chip resistant when paired with a top coat and you get a good three to four days wear without needing to top up. Both the glitter and matte shade retail at £6 but the normal finishes are £5 which is fairly reasonable. I like how the matte finishes have a black lid while the other polishes have a black and white polka dot lid. Super cute.

Do you own any Topshop polishes? What is your favourite nail varnish brand?

  2. Surprisingly, I've never actually tried any Topshop nail polishes (I have basically every other brand in my collection haha) but I've been eyeing them up for a while! That top coat is really pretty.
