Garnier Micellar Solution | Review

Wednesday, 16 April 2014

After being beyond disappointed with the similar L'Oreal offering, I was a little dubious to try another micellar solution, but when I saw it for £2.99 in Savers, I went straight to the till and I haven't looked back since. The L'Oreal micellar solution broke me out and generally didn't work with my skin but I'm pleased to say I've had no problems with Garnier's offering.

I haven't had a proper breakout since using it so it definitely hasn't irritated my skin and I'd even go as far to say that it's kept spots at bay. It feels soft on the skin and doesn't leave a stinging sensation. I squeeze the liquid onto the cotton pad and then wipe across my face. It's great at removing bold lipstick and after using both sides of two cotton pads, my face usually feels clean and clear.

If I've been on a night out I'll simply remove my makeup with this and won't cleanse, but if I'm doing my proper skincare routine I'll cleanse afterwards to ensure every last trace of makeup has been removed. You can't find Savers everywhere so the next best option is Boots for £4.99. With a generous 400ml, I'll definitely be repurchasing this. A simple, yet effective makeup remover which has my seal of approval.

  1. When my Bioderma runs out, I think I am going to try this out so your review has come at the perfect time for me!

  2. I've heard lots of people talk about this. Wish Micellar waters didn't dry my skin out so much though. Casey // atopsyturvyblog.blogspot.com xx
