Beauty Procrastination Tag

Wednesday, 9 April 2014

There's no denying it, I love a good tag. I like finding things out about other bloggers that I may not have known and completing a tag is the perfect way of telling your readers a little bit more about yourself. As you're reading this I'll be in Lloret De Mar in Spain on tour with University so I've been a good blogger and scheduled some posts. I'm the Queen of procrastination when it suits me so I couldn't pass this tag up. While I'm hopefully sunning myself up, here's some deets you may not have known about me.  Thank you to Ann-Kathrin for tagging me!

1. Are you a very open or private person?
I'm open around my friends and family like most people but I'm quite a private person in general. On social media for example, some people will write their whole life story, but I think there's a line and like to keep certain things private. I think this also depends on trust. If I trust someone then I'm much more open with them, but if I don't, then I can be a little more reserved.

2. If money was no object, where would you move to?
This is a hard one because I don't know how I'd cope being permanently away from my family, but America is a dream. I'd love to live in New York or California. I'd probably need to visit them first before deciding I want to live there but from what I've read and heard, they seem amazing. I think Australia is also a close contender. BUT, I'd also be happy with an incredible house somewhere beautiful here in England. I'm eager to embark upon a magazine journalism career in London so if I could experience the proper London life in a lovely house in the capital then that would also make me really happy.

3. Who was the last person to make you cry?
My ex boyfriend. We split up around four weeks ago so naturally, I cried the day it happened. I'm feeling very positive and optimistic though and looking forward to what's to come. Looking back it was for the best and I'm in a happy place so it's all good. I've got some exciting things planned which I'm really looking forward to. Onwards and upwards is my motto!

4. Is there a song that can bring you to tears instantly?
If I'm emotional then most slow, sad songs can make me cry. But I tend to avoid that kind of music when I'm sad. There's not one standout song that I'm emotionally connected with that upsets me though.

5. Do you believe in soul mates?
I don't know. I think the idea of there being one person that you're meant to be with is lovely, but in reality, with 7 billion people in the world, it's kind of hard to believe. I also think it's weird because there might be somebody who is perfect for you, but they may live on the other side of the world and you may never meet them. But thinking about it realistically, I think there's too many people in the world for there to only be one person you're meant to be with.

6. What age do people usually mistake you for?
When I was younger people used to think I was older but the day before my 20th birthday I got ID'd when buying a scratchcard so you tell me...

7. What are you wearing?
Jack Wills joggers, a black and white long sleeve stripy Topshop tshirt and Primark fluffy slippers. It's currently a Saturday night as I'm writing this. I live a wild lifestyle, I know. Don't all start emailing me at once asking to hang out...

8. Have you ever been in love?
Yes, and it's a lovely feeling. But sometimes you have to make decisions and accept that things aren't how they used to be. Being happy is everything so although love is important, it's also important to take time out for yourself, find yourself and figure out exactly what you want from somebody else, and from life.

9. How tall are you?
5 ft 8 I think. So I'm pretty tall but I don't mind. All my friends back home are the same height as me but at Uni I seem to be taller than everyone. I don't wear heels much at Uni as everything is literally fancy dress so I don't really think about my height much. But it can be annoying when I want to wear killer heels but look like a baby giraffe whilst doing so.

10. How much do you weigh?
I don't actually know as I don't own scales at Uni. The last time I weighed myself in the gym which was within the last couple of months of 2013, I was 9 and a half stone. I don't think I've put on any weight since then as I've been eating healthier, drinking more water and exercising at least twice a week so probably around the same.

11. Any piercings?
My ears, but I haven't worn earrings in about five years. I hate the way they look on me and think they look really childish. I used to want my belly button pierced but now I'm glad I didn't get it done. I don't want any other piercings either.

12. Favourite TV show?
Oh god, where do I start. I'm a TV Junkie and a Netflix addict so we could be here for a while. TV wise I love Hollyoaks, Corrie and Eastenders - yep, I'm a soap gal. My favourite at the moment though has to be Gogglebox. June and Leon make my heart melt and Sandy and Sandra are hilarious. In terms of box sets, Prison Break, Breaking Bad and Gossip Girl are my faves.

13. Quality you look for in a partner?
Somebody who can make me laugh and somebody who is fun and wants to go out and do things. I also like somebody who is honest, loyal and respectful. I think it's important to put equal effort in and appreciate the things the other person does for you. I don't ask for much, do I?

14. Favourite quotation?
I've got a few actually. My friend Georgia is the Queen of quotes and uploads them almost daily to Instagram so I have a lot to choose from. I like 'If your dreams don't scare you they're not big enough' and I also like 'Stay true to you and you will end up incredibly happy'. Can I throw in another one? 'Every story has an end but in life, every ending is just a new beginning'.

15. Fears?
I hate spiders like most people. They make me feel funny. I can't think of anything else off the top of my head but I'm scared of the generic things that most people are.

16. What beauty essential couldn't you live without?
Something to fill my eyebrows in with. I hate my eyebrows when I haven't filled them in because I feel like my face isn't properly framed so I'd probably have to say that.

17. When going out somewhere how long does it take you to get ready?
It depends where I'm going and what I have to do. If I only need to apply makeup, straighten my hair and get dressed then about 30 minutes. But if I have to shower, wash my hair, fake tan, curl my hair and apply makeup for a night out, probably nearer to an hour/hour and a half.

18. How organised is your makeup and nail polish collection?
Tidy but not organised, if that makes sense. My nail polishes are lined up in rows on my shelf and my makeup is split up into about three different large makeup bags but in no particular order. I used to have bases in one, eyes and lips in another and everyday makeup in another but it's all become jumbled. I need to invest in some acrylic storage to organise it all.

I hope you enjoyed reading my answers. I'd love to see your answers. I'm not going to tag anyone in particular as not everyone enjoys these tags, but if any of you fancy doing it, then make sure you post your links so I can have a read of your answers.
