Lush | What I'm Loving

Lush is a brand I've only ever really dabbled in. Over the last few years I really feel like it's become more established and after seeing countless reviews of Lush products I knew I had to hop on board and experiment. Lush is a brand unlike any other I've come across. Their fresh handmade cosmetics are cool and innovative and I think they've hit the nail on the head when it comes to modern day skincare.

One of my best friends uses the toner water and recommended it to me. It was pretty inexpensive at £3.95 for 100ml which is super cheap compared to some other brands. It contains tea tree which is a winning ingredient and I spray it directly onto my my face after cleansing and it feels really light, lovely and fresh . It's very awakening in the morning but I also use it at night too.

It hasn't caused me to break out and it's a lot easier than putting product on a cotton pad. One thing I would warn you about is the screw lid. I was just probably silly and didn't do it up tight enough but when I traveled home the whole thing leaked and now the bottle is empty so I'll be popping back to Lush in no time to get another as it helps my skin to stay calm and keep breakouts at bay.

I've recently read a lot of reviews about the grease lightening spot treatment and it was the name that grabbed my attention. The reviews said the treatment reduced spots which is something I'm always interested in so of course, I purchased it pretty much straight away. It was £5.95 for 45g which doesn't sound like a lot but a little goes a long way so I imagine the bottle will last me a long time.

I've had a few under the skin spots recently which are the worst. They sit there for a while and are super painful and one morning decide to appear big and red. I find they take a while to get rid of and are just a bit of a nightmare. When I have these spots I apply one pump of this treatment which also contains tea tree and I have noticed a reduction in size and redness the next day.

It doesn't get rid of the spot completely obviously (please can someone invent a product that does), but I do feel like it speeds up the process and moves my spots well on their way to packing their bags and leaving. I'd say this is the better of the two products but when used together are a staple in my skincare routine. It does however leave a slight 'film' if you like, over where you've applied the product, but it's nothing your morning skincare routine won't remove.

Have you tried either of these two products? Can you recommend any other products?

  2. I have never ever tried anything from Lush, what is my life? But I have read so many good reviews on the Tea Tree toner. I am currently using a dupe from Boots which I really do love so I may have to try the Lush alternative.
