Short Term Goals

Monday, 20 January 2014

What better way to kick-start the beginning of a new week other than blog-related goals. I'm feeling pretty organised at the moment so keeping on top of things including my blog is a priority. Hitting mini milestones is always bound to put a smile on my face so I might as well put my cards on the table and see what happens. Don't worry, I've made them realistic so I actually have a shot.

1. Reach 200 Bloglovin' followers by the end of February
I know followers aren't the be all and end all but to me, followers mean loyal readers who enjoy my content. It always makes me smile when I get an email to say I have a new follower as it's really encouraging knowing people like my blog. If you don't follow and you'd like to, head over to my social media buttons to make sure my posts appear on your Bloglovin' feed.

2. Comment on blog posts more
This is something I'm guilty of not doing as often as I should. I usually use my Bloglovin' app and I find it a little difficult to comment using my iPhone but I shouldn't let this deter me from commenting. It's really nice to show your support and tell other bloggers when you enjoy their posts so I'm going to make a conscious effort to do this.

3. Reach 20,000 page views by the end of February
It may sound silly but I love tracking my traffic. I find it really interesting looking at how many page views I've received each week and what countries people are viewing my blog from. Even if the page views aren't from followers, it still shows people are enjoying what they're reading which is really rewarding. I'd be chuffed if I managed to reach my goal in the next five weeks.

4. Take part in at least one Twitter chat a week
If I remember rightly there's a #bbloggers Twitter chat every Wednesday and Sunday evening at 8pm. I've joined in a handful of times but I really want to start joining in more. I love finding new blogs and chatting to like-minded bloggers so I really think I'd enjoy getting a little more involved. I use Twitter every day so I really have no excuse.

5. Try something new
I like a challenge so I'm going to try something new on my blog. I want to keep things interesting and mix things up a bit so I'm going to try and come up with some new content and features. I think I've only ever done one OOTD post so maybe I'll experiment. If there's anything you'd particularly like to see then suggestions are welcome.

What do you think of goals? Have you set yourself any? I'd love to know.
