New Blog Design | Pursuit of Felicity

Tuesday, 14 January 2014

I’d like to welcome you to the new and improved Life of a Trainee Journalist. I explained in this post last week that my blog was about to undergo a makeover – and here it is. My blog design is something I've struggled with due to my limited design skills and coding ability. I'd never been able to create something I was entirely happy with and this needed to change.

I knew it was time to call in some help and it just so happened to be in the form of the lovely Felicity from Pursuit of Felicity Designs. I was first made aware of Felicity’s work through Couture Girl's blog which Felicity has designed twice now. I love Kayleigh’s blog design so I knew I was in good hands.

I’d like to say a huge thank you to Felicity for all her hard work over the last week as she’s been an absolute sweetheart. We've been emailing back and forth and she’s been so helpful. Felicity made sure I was entirely happy with each aspect of my blog design and went out of her way to experiment with different backgrounds, fonts and headers until I was 100% happy.

When I first filled out the questionnaire I had no clue what I wanted my blog to look like and rambled on and on about colours and designs for god knows how long. My contribution was less than helpful as even I wasn't sure what I wanted. I had a vague vision but had no idea how to explain it. Felicity is practically my fairy blog mother as she’s managed to create a brand spanking new blog design which I couldn't be happier with.

Felicity is such a lovely lady and a pleasure to work with. If you’re thinking about getting your blog redesigned then I would definitely  point you in her direction. Despite the time difference as I’m in the UK and she’s in Australia (lucky thing), Felicity was very prompt when it came to keeping in touch and sending me mock-ups and turned a whole new design around in a week which I was very impressed with. I really feel like Felicity cares and wants to produce a design you’ll love, which is exactly what you want.

Nothing is too much for Felicity as I definitely bombarded her with about five emails in a row one night and she answered each question and took on each new task without any hesitation. It’s definitely not just a job to her – she takes customer satisfaction really seriously which is something I admire. She’s an incredibly talented designer and if I ever want any touch-ups or a new design in the future I know I’ll be going back to Felicity.

If you have any questions please feel free to comment or email me. Alternatively you can check Felicity out over on her blog or design website where you’ll be able to take a look through her portfolio, design services and find out to contact her. What do you think of my new blog design?

  3. I love the design :) Did she charge for this wonderful service? I think every blogger struggles with their blog design and then a wonderful person like Felicity will come along and wave their magic wand and make it look like sparkle dust.
