It's Going To Be A Good Year

Saturday, 4 January 2014

I like this quote. It's always nice to think positively and believe that there's more memories to make, more happiness to feel and more fun to have. If you think about what happened last year, it makes you excited for what's to come. And hopefully, it's the best. I for one am very excited about 2014. Once New Year's day is out of the way, I become excited for the unknown. For some reason I hate New Year's day. The 1st of January is ugly and should always be skipped.

The start of the year is always better when you've got things planned so I thought I'd share with you what I'm looking forward to. Besides all the revision, exams and assignments I have in January, my birthday is on the 31st which is exciting. I'll no longer be a teen as I'm turning 20 but I'm still looking forward to it. February means Valentine's Day and my dad's 50th, March means my mum's 50th and April means TOUR.

If you go to uni and are part of a society then you'll probably know what tour is. A week long holiday with your society and all the other societies within your uni, plus all the societies from loads of other uni's. This year we're going to Lloret De Mar in Spain on April 5th which I'm more than excited for. I haven't been abroad since April 2011 so to say I can't wait is an understatement. Sun, sea, sand, friends, cocktails. Can I go now?

After tour and Easter are over, I'll be in my last month of uni until my second year is over. How. bloody. scary. June means summer at home which is always something to look forward to. Not only that, but I've managed to bag myself two week's work experience at Star magazine in London which I am so unbelievably excited for. I've read Star since I can remember so to be booked in for work experience is amazing.

No doubt summer will whiz by and be a blur of work, friends, days out and sunshine, but when September comes it means I'm in my third and final year at uni. WHAT!? This also means that I get to  move into my gorgeous new flat with my best friends Georgia and Abby. The flat is adorable and I can't wait to be living with my girls. I feel a September house tour coming on.

Once uni starts in October the hard work will begin from day one and I'll be working towards the final steps of my degree. First term always flies by and I know it'll be Christmas again in no time at all. How scary is it when you can map out the next year of your life!? No doubt there'll be hurdles to overcome and other exciting things that will happen, but the main bulk of things are in place and this scares and excites me.

While all this is going on I need to remember to complete the couch to 5k, drink more water, get a new blog design, go the the gym at least once a week and buy a new camera if I want to have any chance of ticking off my New Year's resolutions. It sounds as if I'm going to be a very busy girl. Someone tell me where the time goes?

What do you have planned for 2014?

  3. Hello lovely! I defiantly need to drink more water too! Im cutting out fizz and alcohol for the whole of january - a bit of a detox I suppose! But this year I will graduate from university! Gahhh its gone so quickly! I would love to go away at some point because last year I didn’t get the chance too, as I had so much going on! I also want to blog more and become more social with fellow bloggers! :D Best of luck for 2014 my dear! Emily x

    1. I'm doing quite well on the water front recently! Your detox sounds good, I'd love to read about it on your blog! So scary, then you have to enter the big bad world for good! What are your plans? I agree, being more social with other bloggers is a great idea. Best of luck to you too Xxx
