THE BEST OF #3: MISS SELFRIDGE - BOOTS

Tuesday, 3 December 2013

This week in my 'the best of' series it's all about boots. Normally I go to New Look or River Island for boots so I thought I'd switch things up a bit and set myself a challenge to find the perfect pair in Miss Selfridge. Every girl needs a good pair of boots and depending on the weather and occasion, we may need to treat ourselves to more than one pair.

First up are these Kizzy Black Knee High Boots  which are currently reduced from £60 to £54. Pricey, I know, but it can be difficult to find a decent pair of boots so you are going to have to fork out a little. Think of it as a cosy feet investment. Long flat boots are perfect for horrible rainy days and I really like this pair. The gold buckles add the perfect amount detail while the small heel is ideal if you've got a lot of walking to do. They're very low maintenance to keep clean as you can simply wipe them down and don't have to worry about getting them wet and muddy.

While looking on the website I found these gorgeous Almo Double Buckle Boots which are reduced to £44.10. I love the cut out detail and gold buckle combination as they're bang on trend and so versatile. They'll look great with cigarette pants, skinny jeans and leggings and can really complete an outfit. The slight heel adds a bit of sophistication instead of being completely flat and for the price I really don't think you can complain. They are currently out of stock online, I'd imagine because they're so pretty, but your local store may stock them.

The last pair I came across while browsing online are the Amy Black Chelsea Boots which are also £44.10. They're slightly different from the previous two pairs and only have a small silver buckle on the side but all the same they're lovely. They're a little higher so probably better for drinks or dinner. Although heeled boots look small, they sure as hell can start to hurt if you're trawling round the shops for hours. These are what I'd call a classic pair of boots - black, simple and sturdy.

Miss Selfridge doesn't really spring to mind when I think of boots so I thought I'd share these three pairs in case you're struggling to find some. Please note that due to this post being written a few days in advance, prices may vary once the 'Black Friday' weekend sales are over. Where do you shop for boots?
