So I did my X Factor style notes for Saturday night's show which you can read here and decided to do it again for the results show on Sunday night. This was written right after the show ended so apologies for words like 'tonight' when it's now Tuesday, not Sunday. Let me know what you think!

Well tonight was a vast improvement on last night, wasn’t it? After feeling a little let down with the style, or lack of should I say, tonight the stylist upped her game and really brought fashion to the forefront of the stage. Sharon opted for a flattering floor-length black gown with silver detailing on the shoulder while Nicole also wore a floor skimming black number with statement chunky gold detailing. I hate to say it because she’s absolutely beautiful, but Nicole suffered another hair malfunction tonight. The half-hearted all brushed back look just doesn’t do it for me – soz Scherzy.

While Dermot introduced the group performance of ‘Locked out of heaven’ by Bruno Mars, I was intrigued to find out what they were all wearing. Tonight, the style slip-ups were long gone and the mix of black, leather and tartan got top marks from me. I love the fact that the group performance outfits completely encompassed some of the main fashion trends going on right now. I particularly liked Jeanette’s (one of the Miss Dynamix ladies) tartan dress with the white collar. The trio may have got it all wrong last night but tonight, they got it oh so right.

Our first treat of the night was a world exclusive performance of The Wanted’s new single – cue serious fangirling in the audience. They’re normally dressed in skinnies but tonight the boys went all out and came on stage suited and booted to the max. They even managed to have a little bit of leather going on too, well done boys! Jay’s recent new haircut made him look exceptionally smart because although curly can be cute, a nice neat trim is always a winner.

Next was the performance we were all really waiting for. Dermot described her as an ‘unstoppable force of nature’ and boy did she take ‘nature’ literally. In a shell bra with a guitar covering her modesty making her appear naked on the bottom half, Gaga certainly wasn’t leaving much to the imagination. Clearly the shells weren’t revealing enough for her because she didn’t hesitate in whipping them off to prance around in nude underwear.

Seeing as Gaga always does things big, it didn’t come as much of a surprise when she rid the blonde wig and crawled across the floor au natural with her short brunette hair in tight curls. We all know she likes to flash the flesh and it seems that tonight was no exception. Although, did anyone else notice that her outfit largely resembled that of Miley Cyrus’ at the VMA’s?

After a quick outfit change before the results, the general theme was fairly basic with black, grey, white and navy being the predominant colours. All the contestants looked extremely smart and presentable albeit very nervous. There was Hannah sporting a leather studded waistcoat, Tamera rocking a vampy lip and Sam Bailey pulling off a daring black jumpsuit. The girls definitely stole the show tonight in my eyes.

Miss Dynamix won me over again when they sang for survival and I loved the choice of black paired with gold accessories - simplistic and elegant with a side serving of edge. They looked effortlessly cool and although I admire their decision to keep things quirky, I think they definitely look nicer when they keep things fairly simple. Clearly Sunday is the new Saturday because last night I was expecting all the stops to be pulled out but this evening was the real show-stopper for style. Round of applause.
