OCTOBER WISHLIST

Thursday, 17 October 2013

It's been a while since I've posted a wishlist so I thought it was about time. Apart from my Clinique splurge I've been really well behaved in the shops and have put myself of a little bit of a make-up/beauty/skincare spending ban. My mum is always telling me I buy too many products and truth be told, I'm running out of storage/hoarding space so my purse has been firmly zipped and I'm proud to say I haven't bought anything since my Clinque treat mid September - how grown up of me. Despite this, there have been a number of products that have made their way onto my wishlist that will either go on my Christmas list (yep, I like to prep early) or I'll pick up over the next couple of months.

The first thing I'd love to get my hands on sooner rather than later (purely because of the £6.99 introductory offer) is the new L'Oreal Nude Magique Eau De Tient foundation. I've seen some rave reviews of this and I'm a sucker for anything new on the market. My current foundation has nearly seen the last of its days so it's time to invest in a new one. The Origins GinZing Energy-boosting moisturiser is one I've had my eye on for a while, or should I say nose on for a while because it smells absolutely incredible. The citrus scent is completely to die for and Origins products always receive such high praise. At £23 I don't think it's too unreasonably priced.

As I'm sure you're aware I'm a lover of Barry M nail varnishes and this Sequin Nail Paint Effects in black looks perfect for the upcoming autumn, winter and festive months. It's predominantly black with flecks of gold which is perfect for the party season. Talking of all things festive, I came across this beauty advent calender while browsing on the Boots website. Described as 24 days of beauty treats I was immediately sold. You get a mini or full size beauty product behind every door which sounds way more exciting than a square of chocolate. It may be £30 but if you add up the price of each product I'm sure it would surpass that figure. It's such a cute idea for the build up to Christmas and I really want one.

I've read a lot of reviews about the Bourjois Java Rice powder recently and being a Bourjois fan, I don't think this product would disappoint. I've just finished using the Borujois Healthy Balance powder which I enjoyed using so I'm intrigued to try the Java Rice one out and see what it's like. The packaging is all cute and vintage too which is a plus. I'm quite clumsy so I don't know how I'll work with a loose powder but I'd still like to give it a go.

Another product I'm keen to get is the Bumble and Bumble Extra Strength Holding Spray. I've stopped wearing my extensions and have been curling my own hair with straighteners instead, but it always drops within an hour or two, especially in the wind. The hairspray I have doesn't seem to do the trick and the 'extra strength' claim of this spray caught my eye. I've heard nothing but good things when it comes to Bumble and Bumble so hopefully it'll live up to its claims.

If you're a regular reader you'll know I got a couple of mini Soap & Glory products, one of which was Flake Away. I've really been enjoying using it as an exfoliator and it's great at ridding any leftover fake tan and making your skin silky soft. Now I've sampled the travel size version I'd really like to get the full size version because it's a lovely product. There were a few Soap & Glory products I considered putting on this wishlist but in the end I went for something I have tried, tested and love.

So there we have it - my top wishlist products. Hopefully I'll be able to pick these up over the next couple of months. I'll keep my eyes peeled in Boots and Superdrug for some inviting deals. Have you tried any of these products? What's on your wishlist at the moment?
