NAIL AND BODY CARE

When I left my job back in the middle of September, my lovely work lot got me some leaving goodies which was so lovely. I was lucky enough to receive four Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine polishes which are my absolute favourite and three Soap & Glory products. I only own the Smooch Operator lip balm from Soap & Glory so I was very excited. Not only that, but they also got me a One Direction alarm clock, stationary set and book. Bit of a running joke since I went to see the film and became a little bit obsessed. Nonetheless they take pride of place in my bedroom - forever a devoted 1D fan.

I only had four Gelly polishes before I received these so I'm chuffed that these have now been added to my collection. All the colours are gorgeous and apply really nicely as do all the other Barry M polishes. I have Prickly Pear which is a lovely pastel purple, Greenberry an almost pastel turquoise colour, Blueberry a vibrant blue with a pastel tone running through it and Papaya a gorgeous pastel orange. Although pastels are usually more suited to the summer months, I'll definitely be getting lots of wear out of these all year round.

This is the mini travel size version of Flake Away which is just adorable. Perfect for taking on weekends away when I pop back home or go and visit my boyfriend. Although it doesn't look like the most appealing of things, it smells divine. It's meant to be a superhero-strength skin smoothing body exfoliator and contains shea butter, sweet almond oil, peach seed powder, sea salt and sugar which explains the utterly gorgeous smell. I get fairly dry legs so this has been extremely helpful in creating a smooth base before moisturising and fake tanning. I also suffer with little white dots on my stomach when I fake tan sometimes, and when I massage this into my skin and then rinse, it helps breakdown any leftover tan and leaves my stomach feeling and looking smooth.

This other little pot of goodness is the Scrub 'Em and Leave 'Em body buff which also smells delicious. It looks like candy floss sitting in the tub which instantly makes me want to eat it. Not the best of ideas though so I think I'll stick to body use. It containts babassu oil which is a non-drying oil, so perfect for hydrating the skin and obtaining moisture. Sea salt is also one of the ingredients along with moisturising jojoba and mandarin. It does a similar job to Flake Away but I find it to be less abrasive on the skin. Not that Flake Away is harsh, I just tend to use it when my skin needs thorough exfoliation and then I use the body buff inbetween when I want more of a gentle exfoliation.

The last lovely little product I want to show you is this Mist You Madly body spray. I can't even begin to explain how amazing it smells. My mum loved it so much that she went and bought one the very next day after she smelt it. It's perfect because you can easily slot it into your handbag and spritz during the day if you just want to freshen up. It doesn't have that sickly scent that some body sprays have and smells more like an actual perfume if I'm being honest. It's a floral fragrant body spray featuring notes of bergamot, blackcurrant, magnolia, freesia, vanilla and musk. The combination of scents might not mean much, but you'll appreciate the smell the minute you get a whiff.

I thoroughly love all of these products and I plan to gain the whole Barry M Hi-Shine Gelly collection. I'm incredibly impressed with these mini travel size Soap & Glory products and what's more, none of these items are bank breakers. Boots and Superdrug always have an offer on especially when it comes to Barry M, and you can bag a three for two deal on these travel size Soap & Glory goodies pretty much all year round. They range from £2.50 to £3.50 depending on the product, so the most you'll ever pay is £7 for three products. They're great if you want to add Soap & Glory onto your shelves but don't want to go and buy the full size product before knowing whether you like it, although I can't imagine there's anything I wouldn't like!

What's your favourite Barry M colour and your most loved Soap & Glory product?
