MINI MILESTONE

Tuesday, 1 October 2013

First up, apologies for the awful picture quality. I snapped this on my phone while on my laptop in the dark. I was sooo excited to find that I'd reached 10,000 (well, 10,001 to be precise) pageviews that lighting and picture quality didn't even cross my mind. This number may seem small or irrelevant to you, but to me, and to many other fellow bloggers, it's a big deal. Although blogging is something we all do because we love it, it's also hard work trying to maintain strong content and keep readers engaged. So when you hit a mini milestone like this, as I like to call it, it's a great feeling. This means that people read my blog and enjoy it, which is all I can ask for. It might have taken a while to achieve, but now I'm there, I'm going to strive to increase this number. Not to show off, but because I believe setting mini milestones gives you even more drive and determination to succeed. I'm 13 followers away from 100 on Bloglovin, and 27 away from 100 on GFC, so these are my next two mini milestone which I hope to reach in the near future. A big thank you to every single one of you who takes the time to read my blog, because without you lot sitting on the other end, enjoying my posts, I certainly wouldn't have reached 10,000, so thank you.

Do you think it's good to set yourself mini milestones? What is your biggest blogging achievement?

  2. Congratulations on your mini-milestone. I think it's good and bad to set yourself goals when it comes to blogging, depending on whether you want your blog to be a profession or whether the goals are to be achieved in a certain time frame. If you want it to be a profession, then yes by all means set away, and the same goes for if they're NOT time relevant goals. I find some people get too attached to figures as opposed to anything else, and you should blog for you before you blog for anyone else. I don't have any blog goals at the moment, but I always appreciate it when I gain a new follower on BlogLovin! x

    1. Thank you! Yeah I agree, I think when you become too hung up on them and start obsessing over followers and page views it can become unhealthy. But if you set realistic goals in order to try and engage your readers/followers and improve your content, then it can do the world of good. Me too, it's always lovely getting an email informing you that someone new is following your blog!X
