BREAKING BAD

If you're desperately trying to catch up so you can watch the final episode, then refrain from reading this. I woke up at 9am on release day to watch the final episode purely to avoid any spoilers. The early alarm and gripping 55 minutes of air time were worth it. A somewhat slow beginning in season one left me pondering over whether to continue watching it. And boy, I'm glad I did. When you scratch the surface, Breaking Bad comes across as a dark, dangerous and drug infested concoction, but if you delve deeper and think harder, there's a whole lot more beyond what meets the eye. Most TV programmes are more often than not ruined by poor predictable endings and I hoped more than anything that Breaking Bad would restore my faith. The final was perfectly executed and each scene was seamless. Each loose end was beautifully tied and nothing was left to the imagination. Walter's checklist was ticked off one by one and every errand completed. Of course, there was no way he could live, but the way he died was pleasantly genuine - saving the life of Jesse, whom he hated, but started the initial journey with. The science and logic behind Breaking Bad is breathtakingly clever and I've never seen anything like it. The longest of scenes made up of minimal talking are capable of captivating the entire audience, which is a credit to the producer. Each episode is thoroughly gripping and as sad as I am that it's over for good, I don't think it could have been wrapped up in a better way. As a series, it's faultess.

'Breaking Bad was 62 episodes. The 62nd element on the periodic table is samarium. Samarium is used to treat lung cancer."

  1. I'm soo sad it's over! I definitely thought Walt was going to one last cook before he died the way he was eyeing up the machinery ha! So so glad that Jesse got let free aswell, he's had a rough time that character ha! And I don't feel like Walt ever truly hated him tbh, I think he just became a threat. I've heard rumours that there is gunna be a spinoff? Not sure how I feel about that!

    1. Me too! It's the best thing I've ever watched! Yeah so did I, I think he was planning on it before he collapsed! Same I loved the fact that he saved Jesse, it kind of went full circle didn't it! Yeah I've heard there's going to be a spinoff revolving around Saul before Breaking Bad started but who knows, I think it might ruin it!X
