WHAT DO I WANT?

Thursday, 5 September 2013

Like most beauty bloggers, I'm forever keeping tabs on the beauty products I want. I have an ongoing note on my iPhone which contains a long list of the products I'm lusting for. I've been watching a lot of I Covet Thee's YouTube videos lately and she's been using the Clinique High Impact Extreme Volume mascara. After using the Shu Uemura eyelash curlers which instantly make her lashes look longer, she applies this mascara which instantly transforms her eyes making them look absolutely gorgeous. Mascara is a product I struggle with as I have very short and flat lashes, so I'm hoping this Shu Uemura and Clinique combination will impress me.

I've never tried a Clarins product before but I've been eyeing up the Beauty Flash Balm for a while now. I tested it while I was at the Clarins counter in John Lewis yesterday and it has a really lovely texture. I'm willing to try anything that promises to brighten and tighten the skin so I'm hoping this will be a worthwhile investment. It's a lot of money to pay out as it is £29 for 50ml, but I think it's one of those products which I won't be able to shift from my mind until I have it firmly on my shelf. The next product I'm coveting is the Bioderma Sensibio H20 Micelle solution. My friend has this and really likes it and I also know that some of my favourite beauty bloggers use/have used it, so it's definitely worth a try. I'm currently using the L'Oreal Micellar Solution and would love to know how they compare.

I haven't actually come across this Clinique Anti-Blemish Solution before and only noticed it while I was browsing for the Clinique mascara online. I suffer with blemishes and redness on my nose and on my cheeks so I'm always on the prowl for a product which will combat this, or at least reduce the apperance of my blemishes. This product comes in a gel form which sounds interesting so I'd love to give it a go and see what the effects are. Last up is this Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation. Emily from 'Beleza' by Ems recommends this foundation on her blog and I've also heard good things about it. Emily's skin always looks completely flawless and it's definitely worth investing in a high-end foundation if it produces an immaculate finish.

Unfortunately I'm not made of money so I am going to have to decide what products to buy this month, but I thought I'd share with you the ones I'm coveting most at the moment. Is there anything you're completely lusting over, or do you have any recommendations of better products that you think I'll like?

  2. I went to John Lewis today with the intention to buy that foundation by ended up leaving with a sample of Vitalimeiere instead as I wasn't a huge fan of the semi matte finish of the aqua version. I really like the sound of the clinique product! Thanks for sharing!

  4. Some lovely products. Clinique always has some amazing stuff. I've wanted to try the Shu Uemura Eyelash Curlers too but they're so pricey and I'm not sure if they really will be that much better than standard curlers.

    1. Ooooh where did you get the sample from? A mag? Oh god you're brave doing the spending ban I don't think I could last a week haha! It'll be hard parting with that amount of money but I think at some point I'm going to have to just because I've wanted it for ages!X
