Work Experience: Day Two

Tuesday, 18 June 2013

Day two - completed. I wore a loose pleated orange skirt (New Look £12.99) which is a lovely summer colour. I bought it specifically for work experience because I knew it would be very versatile. I can wear it throughout the summer as well so it's a bonus. I teamed it with a textured black crop top that I already had. Because the skirt is high waisted the crop top was the perfect length as it met the top of the skirt. I wore black tights and the same blazer as yesterday. A very simple outfit with a splash of colour.

I enjoyed today and felt a lot more confident and comfortable. Again, I was kind of left to my own devices to get on with various tasks which was nice. I asked for help when I needed it and was given bits of feedback. I rang a lady from Potten End Pre-School to talk to her about a summer fair they held last Saturday and then I went and spoke to a lady from DENS - a charity which supports action against homelessness. After that I took my lunch hour which was very welcome as I was starving. After lunch I wrote up both the articles and spent quite a bit of time proof reading and refining them.

For the last 45 minutes I wrote up another nib about Recycle Week which I tried to make interesting. The bits and pieces that I wrote yesterday and today will be appearing in the Hemel Hempstead Gazette, Berkhamsted and Tring Gazette and the Herald Express over the coming days which is exciting. I'll be back tomorrow to let you in on Wednesday's antics.

  2. Gorgeous! Love that skirt, I'm in love with coral at the moment and just brought a nail varnish and lipstick in this shade (even though it doesn't suit me, lol)
