New Purchase // Fujifilm Finepix S4400

Saturday, 15 June 2013

As much as I love and depend on my iPhone, there's only so far it will stretch. Pictures are clear, but it's hard to capture natural light and fine details when using an iPhone camera. I originally bought a digital camera a few weeks ago but was mega disappointed with the up close focus so I returned it. I got my tech hungry dad to do a little research and pick me out a decent camera for blogging. We settled on a bridge camera - a steady middle ground between a digital camera and DSLR. As much as I'd love a DLSR, they're around £400 which I just can't afford. Also, you have to change the lenses on DLSR's which I think I'd struggle with. I wouldn't class myself as into photography so as much as I like a sharp image, I just wouldn't know where to start. This is where my £130 bridge camera comes in extremely handy as a welcome iPhone camera replacement. The zoom on it is incredible and once I've read through the guide, hopefully I'll be able to use all the settings to my advantage. After a few test shots, it's already evident that my pictures are going to be so much crisper and clearer which is ideal. The S4400 comes complete with a neck strap, lense cover and 4 AA batteries. If you are using a phone or digital camera to take blog photos then don't stress that you need a better camera. The main thing is that you're taking them yourself and not just lifting them off the net, which in itself adds a personal touch to your blog. I'm very excited to get snap happy with my new purchase and get some high quality images on here. Keep your eyes pealed bloggers.

  1. My Mum has this camera and she loves it! Bridges are great cameras if you don't want to have to deal with lenses and extra settings :) xx
