My Week In Pictures #6

Sunday, 2 June 2013

This week has passed by incredibly slowly because I haven't exactly been up to much. Most of my flatmates, apart from the two boys who rarely see beyond the four walls of their room, have gone home so I'm a very lonely fresher right now. My course friends went home Thursday/Friday so I've spent all weekend tucked up in my room revising and catching up on TV. It's a bit of a shame as it's been really nice weather but I guess it's pushed me to revise which can only be a good thing. My week started off with a health kick as I saw one of my friends put a picture of The Drop 10 Workout on Instagram. It involves 100 crunches, 90 jumping jacks, 80 lunges, 70 squats, 60 seconds running on the spot, 50 second plank, 40 jumping jacks, 30 squats, 20 high knees and 10 press ups. If you think it sounds intense then try it. As unattractive as it sounds I'm a big sweaty mess afterwards. If you repeat it daily for two weeks you're meant to lose 10 pounds so I thought I'd give it a shot. I'm not too bothered about losing that much as I'm fairly happy with my weight, but the toning exercises will be beneficial and I'm intrigued to see whether it actually works! I've also been trying to eat a little healthier so on Tuesday I opted for breaded chicken, a small jacket potato and some mixed veg for dinner, which to my surprise only adds up to around 400-500 calories - bonus.

On Wednesday I had my second exam which actually went very well. Although this is a good thing I feel like because my first two exams went smoothly, my final one is going to be a nightmare. Fingers crossed I'm not right. I then went into town with Abby who also sat the exam and once again took advantage of the Superdrug 3 for 2 offer. I needed a new concealer so went for the trusty (so I'm told) Collection 2000. I usually use No7 so it'll be interesting to see if it lives up to the hype. I've seen a fair few reviews on the nude Scandaleyes eyeliner by Rimmel so I picked that up too. I completed the 3 for 2 with the Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24hr Eyeshadow in on and on bronze, which after only a couple of uses, I am totally in love with. I also picked up a few items of clothing for work experience later on in the month. I tried to stick to a budget and was really impressed with what I got for my money. I'll do a complete post on work experience clothes soon so you can see my bargains. I gave myself the rest of Wednesday off and spent the entire day watching Breaking Bad because I am utterly addicted. Thursday consisted of revision as did every other day this week, but in between I looked at more work experience opportunities, made a carb-infested dinner of pasta, breaded chicken and garlic bread (so much for the healthy eating), and picked up a Neutrogena scrub and moisturiser on a 2 for £6 offer in Superdrug.

I'm bored of the slow pace and I can't wait for this week because I have exciting things planned. It's my boyfriend's birthday tomorrow and then our 3 year anniversary the day after so I'm off to Leeds on Tuesday. I've planned a little surprise which he's unaware of so it'll be nice to spend some quality time together and have a well-deserved break from revision for a few days. I'll be sure to take lots of pictures to share with you all. Have a good week!
