Simple Kind To Eyes Revitalising Eye Roll-On

Saturday, 4 May 2013

I've always been slightly intrigued by eye-roll ons because I think the little silver ball at the end is pretty cool. Stupid reason for wanting to buy a product, I know. Since coming to university my sleeping pattern has altered a little shall we say, and when I read that eye roll-ons apparently reduce puffiness, I was sold. Sometimes I just don't quite manage to get the sleep I need and suffer with sore puffy eyes in the morning, so I was willing to give this a go. I'm a bit of a sceptic when it comes to beauty products because I don't really like splashing out on something unless I know it's amazing and I'll get my money's worth. It's not like I've got cash to burn, I'm a student. The main eye roll-on on the scene at the moment appears to be Garnier, but at £10 a pop I wanted a cheaper alternative to suss out whether it works or not. When browsing around Boots I found a Simple eye roll-on  for £4.99, so I snapped it up.

One of the reasons why I opted for Simple in particular  is because all products are compatible with sensitive skin. I wouldn't say my skin is overly sensitive, but my mum suffers with puffy eyes when using certain products which sometimes makes the skin around her eyes flare up. Because of this I do like to try and be gentle with the products I use. So, the eye roll contains refreshing eye gel formulated with a blend of cucumber extract and multi-vitamins. It also helps to reduce puffiness, wakes you up and revitalises your tired eyes - so the back of the product says. Sounds like just what I needed. There's nothing worse than your eyes feeling gritty and stuck together first thing, and I was pleasantly surprised with the results on first application. Within a matter of seconds my eyes felt soothed. The stingy sensation was gone and the area around my eyes felt cool and fresh. Any morning puffiness was reduced as the gel absorbed and soothed my skin back to its natural state. If I've had a good nights sleep and feel refreshed of a morning then I don't bother using it, but it's great when I'm feeling a little worse for wear and need waking up. The Garnier eye roll on might have a few fancy ingredients, but if you're not bothered about trying to tackle bags and dark circles which the Garnier product claims to combat, and just want something to make you feel fresh and give the skin around your eyes a little kick, then I'd opt for Simple.
