My Week In Pictures #5

Sunday, 26 May 2013

This week hasn't flown past like normal for some reason. Trust time to start dragging once exam period hits, oh how wonderful. I decided to start the week off by being productive so I went to the gym with a couple of the girls on Monday morning. Along with a session on the bike, rowing machine and a small stomach workout, I managed 20 minutes on the treadmill which I think is pretty impressive. I even take pictures at the gym people, I'm definitely too snap happy. I spent the rest of the day revising for my law exam with Abby and Georgia. On Tuesday I stumbled across this little Twitter beauty - a company in Leeds which delivers the likes of Nando's, Wagamama's, McDonalds, KFC and Burger King right to your doorstep. Yep you heard it right... they deliver!!! How amazing? As soon as I saw it I text my boyfriend who lives in Leeds and told him that we have to try it out when I visit him next. Apart from that little nugget of excitement I revised again with Abby and Georgia. We used my kitchen stools and cutlery to play revision games in an attempt to engage ourselves. Don't ask...

Wednesday morning I was a bag of nerves as it was exam day! What didn't help was the fact that the exam was at 2.30 in the afternoon which meant I had a lot of time to think and feel nervous. I read through the exam conditions as it was my first university exam and also took a pre exam pic. Don't ask me why, I look happy in the pic and I certainly wasn't happy or chilled that morning. My exam actually went pretty well which meant there was only one way to celebrate... OCEAN. Ocean is always fancy dress and Abby and I opted for a chav theme. Vicky Pollard was my inspiration and quite frankly it was just hilarious. My friend Mike lent me his 'retro' black silky zip up hoody which is a staple item in any chavs wardrobe - sorry Mike.  While pre drinking Abby told me about the cup song which features in the film Pitch Perfect and I decided to learn it. I don't quite know how I managed it while intoxicated but I picked it up very quickly and Abby filmed me - I could certainly give Anna Kendrick a run for her money. Back to the whole chav thing, it was hands down the funniest fancy dress I've ever been out in, and despite the slight embarrassment at looking so hideous, it was such a fun night. I even found a tenner on the floor which was a bonus, there was no way I was walking past free money for someone else to pick up.

Thursday I spent the entire day in bed doing nothing, hence why there is no picture. I didn't do anything worth showing except for watching season 1 of Breaking Bad which I'm hooked on. If you haven't watched it then you must! I also spent a lot of time wishing my mum was there to cook me a lovely meal. Oh the hard life of being a student eh. Friday was more productive as Georgia and Abby came round and we revised... again. Once Abby left to meet her boyfriend, Georgia and I watched an ancient Mary Kate and Ashley movie which took us back to our youth as we both used to love the films! May I ask why bandannas were ever in fashion? I also wrote a life plan for the next month and sorted out when I would revise what etc. It's currently pinned on my pin board and I'm scribbling each day out as it passes. It's a nice little countdown to summer. Saturday morning me and Georgia hit the gym and then continued to revise. Our spirits were low as we felt tired and unproductive but a Domino's followed by Saturday night TV and a little blogging sesh definitely helped. We were also talking about friends and life and I stumbled across a little quote which I like - 'if someone wants to be a part of your life, they'll make an effort to be in it. So don't bother reserving a space in your heart for someone who doesn't make an effort to stay' - wise words. Today I woke up late after a Breaking Bad marathon last night and revised before watching Britain's Got Talent and Corrie. I'm such a TV junkie it's unreal.

This week has been busy but productive with a few gym sessions and treat nights dotted around. Just a word of warning, next week's installment may purely consist of revision and snacks as I have a long hard week ahead of me. What are your plans for this week?
