MUA Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighter

Tuesday, 28 May 2013

With the summer months fast approaching, I've been on the hunt for an affordable highlighter which will add a natural shimmer to my face. I can generally get away with wearing a little less make-up when it's warmer and my face has a slight natural tan, so I thought a highlighter would be nice to accentuate my cheekbones. Ideally, I wanted the Benefit High Beam, but at around £20 it wasn't really budget friendly. When browsing around Superdrug a couple of weeks ago I went to check out the MUA collection. I don't own much from MUA but it's ever-growing and gaining a nice little reputation for itself so I always have a little mooch in case something catches my eye. With a highlighter in mind, I noticed this one looking very lonely in and amongst other items. It looked like a very neutral peachy pink colour and at £3 I just couldn't say no. I also noticed the Rimmel Wake Me Up Instance Radiance Shimmer Touch which was cheap at £4.99. It seemed more like a bronzing mousse, so I decided to leave that for another time. I was very excited to try out my new MUA product and was very impressed with the results. I apply it with my Real Techniques contour brush across my cheekbones and over my t-zone. It adds a lovely light natural glow and also blends in well with bronzer or blusher if you want a stronger pinch of colour. I imagine this will be ideal for the summer when I want my face to look fresh and glowing. At such a cheap price I thoroughly recommend this product as it's highly pigmented and adds a lovely subtle sparkle to your face.
