A Smile Is The Universal Welcome

So, with the ambition of becoming a journalist in the horizon, I thought I should nip the laziness in the bud and start a blog. I like to write, therefore this shouldn't feel like a chore like school does. Yes that's right, I'm studying for my A-levels in desperate hope of getting to Nottingham Trent University in September to study Journalism. There's one problem though, I don't know how to revise. Not joking, I copy out notes from a textbook to then realise I have rewritten the textbook, only in my own hand writing. Pointless, right? I then tried another technique of repeating a sentence over and over again and then going back to see if I can remember it 10 minutes later, which works more effectively, but is so so tedious. But, I am a firm believer of 'you get out, what you put in', therefore I am willing to endure the pain of revision, to get to uni which I am SO excited for okay.

Next up, my blog address. I spent a good 20 minutes trying to think of a blog address and asking my friends to help. With the unoriginal boring choice of 'Nicoles Blog' or 'Dear Diary' staring me in the face, I was ashamed that I had only thought up 2 lame arse ideas. So, as it goes I was talking to my Irish friend and I told her that I was in desperate need of some help and she put it in black and white 'ineedhelp.blogspot.com'. Due to unavailability I couldn't use that blog address, damn you blogger! So after a few amendments here I am.

I have big plans for my future, even though I am only 18 I know what I want out of life. I know in my head the house I want to live in, I know that I will have the teeniest, tiniest cutest cream lab puppy called Oscar and I really hope that I get to fulfil my ambition of becoming a magazine journalist. In hope of this blog being the start of my career in writing, I figured unpaid blogging is miles better than doing nothing then moaning that I have nothing to show for my love for writing, when it comes to applying for graduate jobs in 3 years time. God knows what I will end up writing about, but that's enough about me.
